Setting up SofTest Permissions Permissions are a group of settings which control a user’s read and write access to the content of files and folders. Read permissions allow a user to see content while write permissions give them the capacity to modify the material. A permissions error occurs when the user has insufficient rights to the SofTest folder or the folder which contains it.

First begin by removing all available accounts by selecting them and then utilizing the button. Afterward, we will add the current account (Me) and the Administrators accounts. This is executed by hitting the button and then manually allocating the accounts with the “Select” button.

When a permissions error appears, it will display the file location which has been assigned incorrect permissions.

The Privilege level needs to be altered from Read Only to Read and Write for each available account. This is done by selecting Read Only and enabling the new permissions.

We must now navigate to this location. This can be accomplished by accessing Go > Computer. From this window, traverse to the specified folder and rightclick on it. Select the option Get Info. In the new window, expand the Sharing and Permissions field if this is not already done. Finally, in the bottom-right corner, click the lock and enter your password so that changes can be made to the field.
