SEVENVENUES MARKETING COORDINATOR Department: Marketing Location: Scope Arena, 201 East Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23510 Type: Full-Time, Salaried, Contracted Position Job Duties: The Marketing Coordinator will assist the Marketing Manager in the marketing of the venues and the development and implementation of all marketing and public relations campaigns. This position will also assist the marketing department with social media campaigns, media buying, promotions, public relations and grassroots marketing support for all brand related activities and events as assigned. Areas of Responsibility:  Assist in developing marketing and public relations plans for upcoming events  Develop new social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and ticket sales  Assist with the implementation of marketing plans as well as the creation of advertising, promotional and grassroots materials  Maintain and contribute news articles to the SevenVenues website  Assist Stage Left Lounge committee in the implementation of preshow events  Assist Director of Marketing in preparation of weekly marketing reports  Participate in weekly conference calls as assigned  Attend all internal and city wide meetings as assigned  Create and maintain detailed media budgets, settlement reconciliations, and recap summaries for all events  Disseminate collateral materials such as promotional pieces, fliers, posters, schedules and event calendars as needed  Develop and maintain a database of current rate cards and editorial calendars  Create and disseminate content for all online/print calendar listings  Collect artist related content for upcoming shows as assigned  Collect SevenVenues’ event related press clippings; create and maintain detailed press clippings file  Assist with marketing and public relations efforts between SevenVenues and local media including the delivery of press kits, b-roll and marketing materials  Produce quarterly interdepartmental newsletter  Participate in the development and implementation of annual marketing department goals, objectives and priorities  Assist the marketing department with the development of customer surveys, focus groups and testimonials.  Participate in the creation of marketing materials for branding events; attend branding events as assigned  Perform all other departmental duties as assigned Qualifications:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related field preferred  Computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite  Detail oriented with superb organizational skills  Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills; excellent copywriting skills a plus  Effective understanding of latest social media technologies and the ability to apply them to marketing and public relations campaigns.  Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and some holidays  Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines.  Ability to travel as required  Graphic design experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or In Design preferred, but not required.
