Sew Inclined - April 17, 2017 After the program in Sew Inclined that Barbara Trapp gave to introduce the temari balls, Barbara generously hosted a class in her home. Her students included Jane Moreland, Carrie Root, Jolae Reed, and Kelly Beringer.
"Temari, "handball" in Japanese, is an art form, a lovely representation of centuries-old patterns embroidered onto sweet and simple handballs." A quote from Barbara Suess, a member of the Japan Temari Association, level 4 instructor. We made the balls on a Saturday. Fun, food and fellowship while wrapping the balls and stitching the design. I'm very proud of my “students”. Their work is beautiful, as you can see.
