SHAGGY CHIC (1) 4 hr class
Supplies: (**although the pattern includes instructions for a rug, I suggest making a pillow first to familiarize yourself with the technique)
• Shaggy Chic pattern (available @ Blue Hen Quilt Shop) • Pillow form (the pattern accommodates 6 sizes) • Fabric - Depends on the size pillow you choose. (Between 4 and 14 fat quarters, see pattern for specifics) **NOTE - Please read comments on pattern back, “Assorted Prints”. I chose batik, since the color is the same on both front and back. • Rotary Cutter, NEW blade and Mat • SHARP scissors which will cut through 4 layers of fabric • Sewing machine in good working order • Matching thread; pre-wound bobbins • Straight Pins • Recommended, but NOT required: Creative Grids Stripology ruler. It’s my go-to time saver and accurate cutting tool for any project that requires cutting full width fabric and/or fat quarters into 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 inch strips; 5 and 10 inch squares (most popular pre-cuts and therefore prominent in many patterns). I also use it to cut in 1/4 inch increments. (No, I am not paid to endorse this product - I just love it and find it extremely helpful!!)
