PROGRAM PROFILE

MEET OUR FACULTY

The Public Relations-Corporate Communications program is based at the award-winning Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, centrally located in Oakville at the Trafalgar Road Campus.

Why do our Instructors love teaching in the Public Relations-Corporate Communications program? We asked, and this is what they had to say:

With the highest graduate employment rate in the Greater Toronto Area (84% in 2013) our students confidently enter the workforce with the critical skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing environment. Our well-rounded program covers every aspect of the public relations industry, including teaching students how to write targeted news releases and compelling feature stories, design visually effective communications material, leverage audience engagement through social media channels, and develop and implement media relations plans. We offer students ongoing professional development support including a coursewide focus on career management, opportunities for mentoring and networking, and lifelong career centre membership. With a dynamic faculty, a supportive environment and a well-regarded program, Sheridan College offers everything you need for success!

“I teach amazing students who come from all over the world, each with their own unique perspective. They learn from me, and I learn from them.” -Andrew Coxhead, Program Coordinator “I have loved working in the fields of journalism and communications for the last 15 years. However, guiding students in developing their own voice has proven to be my greatest joy.” -Sherine Mansour, Journalism New Media and Corporate Communications Professor
