Sheridan High School ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR: Thursday, September 21, 2017 Math tutoring Mondays and Wednesdays in Room 203 Are you looking for a fun easy way to get community service hours for scholarship applications? Be sure to sign up as a volunteer for the Grant County Timberfest Festival. Volunteers are needed October 2-5 for set up and Saturday, October 7th during the festival. There is a sign up sheet on the window of the front office for students to sign up to volunteer at East End Elementary Fall Fest on October 26, 2017. This week’s Friday theme is ‘Merica. Dress up and show your patriotic side for our Yellow jackets. The game is at home against Siloam Springs. If you missed the college fair, you have one more chance to meet with college recruiters from AR! The Saline County College Fair will be held at the Pulaski Tech South Campus located on I-30 on Thursday, September 21st from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Register online at www.gotocollegefairs.com. Any Junior interested in taking the PSAT on Wednesday, October 11th should register and pay for the test in the counseling center by Thursday, September 21st. Cost is $16. This is the test to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Do you need help registering for the October ACT? Mrs. Fortin will be in the library during Jacket Time on Thursday to help you. Sign up on the counseling center door. Deadline to register for the October ACT is this Friday! SENIORS: Don’t forget that the deadline for senior ads is Wednesday, September 27th. Have questions? Contact Mr. Turner. The ASVAB will be given on Wednesday, October 18th. Any Junior or Senior student interested in taking the ASVAB needs to sign up in the counseling center. Wednesday, October 20th, is the last day to turn in Community Service forms from this summer. Please turn them into LTC Easter in the JROTC room by 3:30 P.M. on Wednesday. TEACHERS: Please remember to contribute $10 to the Sunshine Fund.
