Shomrei Emunah News We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Adrien Levin, mother of our member Susan Rosenbluth. The funeral was held, Thursday July 14 in Atlantic City, NJ Shiva began at 6808 Atlantic Ave, Ventnor, NJ, until Friday, July 15 at noon. Susan Rosenbluth will resume Shiva in Englewood on Sunday morning at 73 Dana Place. May the family be comforted among the mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim
Community News ENGLEWOOD MIKVAH With gratitude to Hashem and our supportive community, the Englewood Mikvah Association announces the opening of its beautiful and wellappointed Mikvah for women on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, named in memory of Rebbetzin Peggy Gopin Weiss, z’l. The Mikvah is located in Congregation Ahavath Torah and has a separate, private entrance at the rear of the synagogue building near parking spots reserved for Mikvah users. Our expanded Mikvah space will allow women to complete this important mitzvah in a pleasant, convenient and uplifting surrounding. For more information and to make online appointments, please consult the new Mikvah website at http://www.englewoodmikvah.org . A festive Chanukat Habayit celebration will be announced at the end of the summer. July 31 - 6th Annual Asher Strobel Memorial 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament ([email protected]) & 1st Annual Asher Strobel Memorial 5K Run. Communal BBQ - 3-6pm. Shemen home, 220 Maple Street. August 4th - 7pm - CareOne in Teaneck - Benjamin Eckman, Attorney at Law, will go over Important Legal topics for Seniors. August 9th - 6pm - CareOne in Teaneck - Vivan Green Korner Certified Dementia Practitioner, will hold a Dementia Caregiver Education Group. Lamdeinu’s exciting July classes start Monday, July 4th. They include Advanced Talmud for Women taught by R. David Nachbar, Eichah Rabbah: Midrash as a Response to Destruction taught by Dr. Tammy Jacobowitz, Four Aggaditot in the Talmud taught by R. Daniel Fridman, Parashat HaShavua taught by Rachel Friedman, Dean and Unsung Heroes in the Bible taught by R. Hayyim Angel. You may register for classes on our website at lamdeinu.org.
