Capital Soccer Association would like to invite your team to participate in the 2014 SHOOTOUT Tournament! . The 2014 CSA Shootout will be held over Memorial Day weekend in Lincoln, Nebraska, Saturday 05/24/2014 through Monday 05/26/2014. Last year more than 75 teams participated in one of the fastest growing youth soccer tournaments, the CSA SHOOTOUT! Teams of all levels are welcome to participate in Shootout 2014 and the tournament will focus on Division 1 and Division 2 teams. Premier teams will only be allowed to play in premier divisions. The goal of the CSA SHOOTOUT is to provide a competitive and safe environment while having fun playing the beautiful game of soccer. DATES: Saturday 05/24/2014 through Monday 05/26/2014 (playoffs only for larger brackets on Monday)

LOCATION: Lincoln, Nebraska at The beautiful Abbott Soccer Complex AGE DIVISIONS: U8-U19, Boys & Girls FEES: U8 $225, U9-U10 $350, U11-U14 $400, U15-19 $450 LAWS OF PLAY Play will be governed by the FIFA Laws of the Game, except where amended by US Youth Soccer Rules of Play, and/or the Tournament Rules. A complete set of rules will be sent out with the acceptance letter, or you may contact the Tournament Director, Scott Ballenger at 402-219-3814 Please note that small sided games are played in Nebraska. U8 5v5; U9 –U10 6v6 ; U11-U12 8v8; U13-U19 11v11 GAME LENGTH –US Youth Soccer regulation game lengths. If inclement weather, the Tournament Director shall have the authority to change the above format as follows: Relocate and/or reschedule games; cancel all or part without penalty. SUBSTITUTION: Unlimited substitution following US Youth Soccer guidelines.

Tournament Information

APPLICATION PROCEDURE Players must be registered to the team making application. Teams, consisting of not more than 10 players for U8, 12 players for U9/10, 16 players for U11/12, and 18 players for U13 & above must be registered and in good standing with their US YOUTH SOCCER affiliated state association. Teams may have up to 5 guest players for U8 and up to 6 guest players for U9 and above, please see the application to host; Guest Player forms will be required. Teams must comply with US YOUTH SOCCER travel procedures. Casts will be allowed if padded and approved by the referee. A Player can only play on one team during the tournament. Please note that small sided games are played in Nebraska. U8 5v5; U9 –U10 6v6 U11-U12 8v8. A copy of the team’s expected roster must be submitted with the application. A roster certified by your state association must be submitted before or at check-in. Any team participating must carry US Youth Soccer 2013-2014 player’s passes. All teams must follow the applicable procedures of the US Youth Soccer Travel Policy. Out of state teams must have US Youth Soccer Permission to Travel Papers, on file, at your state association office. All teams are required to carry written medical releases from parents/guardians in case emergency medical care is necessary. REFEREES - We will only be using US Soccer Registered Referees with a 3-Referee System on each game for U11 and up games. You can never have too many referees. Referees accompanying teams to Lincoln are invited to “call” games during the tournament. Referee abuse by the player, coach or fan will be reported to their Home State Association within 48 hours of the end of games. The player, coach, or fan, will be removed from the soccer complex at the direction of the tournament director and will not be allowed to return. TEAM SELECTION - The Tournament Committee will make team selections. Although every effort is made to accommodate visiting clubs, we are unable to guarantee the acceptance of all teams. Primary consideration will be given to promoting the best competition in each division and geographical diversity. COACHES who coach more than one team need to make sure they have an assistant available at the tournament, as we will not be able to accommodate every request for no conflicts. Additionally, it is unreasonable to request no early morning Saturday games. The entry fee will be forfeited if a team withdraws after being notified of its acceptance. Accommodations, Transportation and Expenses – Your Entry fee includes cost for referees, games, field painting and Referee and Game Scheduler. You will be responsible for transportation, lodging, meals and any other costs associated with the tournament. Rooms have NOT been reserved. Make your reservations early.
