SHOREWOOD SOCCER LEAGUE
SHOREWOOD SOCCER LEAGUE PARENT CODE OF ETHICS I hereby pledge to provide positive support, care, and encouragement for my child participating in youth sports by following this Parent’s Code of Ethics. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice or other SSL event. I will place the emotional and physical well being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win. I will insist that my child play in a safe and healthy environment. I will support coaches and officials working with my child, in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience. I will demand a sports environment for my child that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol, and will refrain from their use at all SSL events. I will remember the game is for the youth, not for adults. I will do my best to make youth sports fun for my child. I will ask my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect. I will help my child enjoy the youth sports experience by doing whatever I can, such as being a respectful fan and providing transportation. I will leave the coaching to the coaches and provide positive encouragement to the kids from my seat on the sidelines.
ZERO TOLERANCE Any infraction of the Shorewood Soccer League Parent’s Code of Ethics will be subject to review by the Shorewood Soccer League Board of Directors. This includes behavior and actions of all coaches, parents, players, as well as player spectators during any and all SSL functions. Any zero tolerance infraction is subject to consequences as seen fit by the Shorewood Soccer League Board of Directors. These consequences could include, but are not limited to suspensions and removal from participation in Shorewood Soccer League functions. These actions could be immediate and may result in removal of an individual, delay or forfeit of game. By signing the Parent’s Code of Ethics Form, I understand that any action in violation of the Code will be treated with a ZERO TOLERANCE policy to be enforced by the Shorewood Soccer League Board of Directors, and may be imposed for ALL family members present at Shorewood Soccer functions.
