Property Standing on a corner plot is this attractive detached five bedroom family home. The property has been wellmaintained by the present owners and provides spacious and well-proportioned living accommodation. The property boasts many attractive features and has two reception rooms and a superb kitchen/breakfast room with marble work surfaces and integrated oven, microwave, hob, washing machine and dishwasher. There are five bedrooms to the first floor; one of which is currently used as a study. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite facilities. Externally there is a garden to the front which is lawned with a boundary hedge to the front. The delightful rear garden has been well-maintained and boasts a variety of plants, trees, shrubs etc. There is a barbeque area with a paved and decked patio. There is off street parking for three vehicles and a single garage. Shorncliffe Road is a popular and sought-after location conveniently situated for Folkestone town centre where you will find a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Folkestone West railway station is close by providing a high-speed rail service to London and there is easy access onto the M2 Motorway and Channel Tunnel terminal. Folkestone offers a wide variety of shopping and leisure activities and there are a number of highly regarded schools to be found in the area.

Our Time Here This house perfectly suited all of our needs at the time and we knew it would be a great family home for us and our teenage daughters. The large rooms and generously sized bedrooms meant that there was always plenty of space for sleepovers and things like that. We also really liked the large garden on its corner plot. My favourite parts of the house are probably the living and dining rooms. They are both respectively ideal for entertaining, and having two large reception rooms is ideal if you have family gatherings and parties like we have. The house itself is spacious and warm in the winter, but cool in the summer, which we have found to be very useful! I re-designed the kitchen myself and, as well as being easy to cook in, it’s also a lovely place to spend time. There is a bus stop 30 metres down the road, while the train station is about a 3 minute walk from the front door. The Boys and Girls Grammar Schools are both within walking distance, about ten minutes away. The location is brilliant and easily accessible, and yet the house is set well back from the road with a large garden in front so it’s very quiet! We are a 15 minute walk/3 minute drive from the coastal park where I walk my dog every day. It’s a beautiful place to go, especially if you have children and/or dogs. There has been a lot of regeneration in the area, with new coffee bars and restaurants. Folkestone and Sandgate are becoming increasingly desirable places to buy a home, and when you live here, you’ll understand why. This has been a really good family home, and our only reason for moving is to downsize now, preferably to a bungalow.
