PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USING SPANNRING SHOWER-TOILET (ELECTRIC BIDET) Do not open the product to repair or remodel. Only qualified service personnel should service the Spannring Shower-Toilet. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer. Connect the Spannring Shower-Toilet to cold water supply pipe carrying potable water. Do not connect to an industrial water supply line that does not carry water of drinking quality. This will negatively effect hygiene and performance. Do not plug in the power cord before connecting the water supply hose. The Spannring Shower-Toilet must be grounded. An approved circuit breaker must be used. Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug. Spannring Shower-Toilet must be connected to a standard GFCI voltage power source. Do not connect the power cord if the cord is damaged or broken. Do not plug the unit into a loose electric outlet. Keep the electrical cord away form heated surfaces to prevent a fire hazard. Also, keep any flammable materials away at all times from the Spannring Shower-Toilet Do not touch the power cord with wet hands. Do not reach for a product that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately. Do not splash water on Spannring Shower-Toilet. Do not install in a location exposed to excessive moisture in that condensation would form on the Spannring Shower-Toilet surface. Dear gentlemen, please sit down on the toilet in any case! To avoid damage to electronic components due to high levels of humidity, it is necessary to provide adequate ventilation with a fan, open door or open window when bathing. The supervision of children, some elderly people or persons that have other limitations in body movement, illness or disabilities is necessary for the safety and full benefit of the Spannring Shower-Toilet.

CAUTIONS BEFORE INSTALLATION WIRING REQUIREMENT
Spannring Shower-Toilet must be plugged into a regular voltage earthed GFCI outlet (North America 120V AC, 60 Hz / Europe 230V AC, 50/60 Hz) and the rated power consumption is 660W. In locations where only a standard tow-prong outlet is available, it is the responsibility of the user to install an earthed three-prong outlet. Using a higher voltage is dangerous and may result in a fire or other accident. The Spannring Shower Toilet Company is not responsible for damage resulting from the use of Spannring Shower-Toilet on other than specified voltage, or operating it without proper earthing.
WARNING: Spannring Shower-Toilet must be on a separated circuit. No other appliance should share the circuit with Spannring Shower-Toilet. Sharing a circuit could cause the branch circuit fuse to blow or the circuit breaker to trip. Continuous usage under these conditions could result in fire or property damage. GROUND INSTRUCTIONS (1) Spannring Shower-Toilet has a three-prong earthing plug, which must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and earthed. In the event of an electrical short circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the earthing wire to either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without yellow stripes is the earthing wire. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if the earthing instructions are not completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the product is properly earthed. (2) This product is for use on a nominal 220V circuit. DANGER Improper earthing can result in a risk of electric shock. Electric wiring has to be done in accordance with all local codes, or in the absence of local codes, with the Nationals Electrical Codes. The use of an extension cord is not recommended or advised. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a three-prong extension cord, and a three slot built-in GFCI receptacle that will accept the plug on Spannring Shower-Toilet. The marked rating of the extension cord should be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the unit (10amp). Consult a qualified electrician or service person if you are not sure whether the unit is properly earthed.

INSTALLATION Caution before installation Do not plug in before installation. If you need an electric power system or extensions, please consult a qualified electrician
Installation Base Assembly: 1. Put the 2 bolts into the 2 installed bolt cases 2. Place this bolt assembly into the installation base as shown. 3. Guide arrows on the installation base should face up and towards the toilet tank. 4. Place the installation base and guide the bolts into the 2 holes on the toilet bowl.
Bolt and Nut Assembly 1. Fit the cone packing and plastic washers onto the bolts from below the toilet bowl as shown. 2. Loosely tighten nuts by hand.
Spannring Shower Toilet Seat Assembly: 1. Slide the Spannring Shower Toilet Seat onto the installation base centering the unit with the guide arrows on the base. 2. You will hear a click once the Spannring Shower Toilet Seat is securely mounted to the Installation base. 3. The Spannring Shower Toilet Seat will feel a little loose on the toilet bowl. Adjust the fit from front to back and side to side for balance. 4. Tighten the nuts on both bolts securely.

Visible water tank/cistern Our unit comes with a set if the water outlet is on the left. Please order set nr. 115.438.00.1 for the water outlet in the middle or nr. 240.396.00.1 for the right side outlet.

Installation of remote control on wall or convenient surface Mount fixed panel to wall location. Take off the cover on the adhesive on remote control fixed panel or use fixed screw in order to adhere remote control fixed panel on wall. Then slide remote control on to remote control fixed panel.
Place 1,5V (AA) batteries properly and shut the cover.

Water Draining and Separation of unit from the toilet bowl If you do not intend to use the Spannring Shower-Toilet for 14 days or longer, in case of moving or major cleaning, drain the water from the warm water tank. 1) Disconnect the power plug and wait 30 minutes until the unit has cooled down 2) Close the water supply valve 3) Push the button on the right side of the unit to a full stop to completely drain the water from water tank. 4) To re-supply water after draining, open the water shut off valve.
In case of moving house or extensive cleaning separate the unit form the toilet bowl by pushing the button on the right side once. See instruction! Note: Do not turn upside down Do not drink the drained water. Do not insert finger into the drain hole.

Maintenance Cleaning the strainer The Spannring Shower-Toilet will not operate properly if the strainer is clogged. Please clean the strainer regularly. 1. Close the water shut off valve (A) 2. Flush the toilet to empty the water reservoir 3. Unscrew the water filter nut 4. Clean the strainer with a small brush or water 5. Re-screw the water filter nut 6. Open the water shut off vlave (A)

Cleaning the nozzle When the Posterior Wash button on the simple operation panel is pressed for 3 seconds without sitting on the seat, the nozzle can be cleaned with a soft toothbrush. After cleaning the nozzle, push “Stop” -button on simple operation panel and the nozzle retracts itself. Cleaning the body of unit When you clean the Spannring Shower-Toilet, do not use “thinner”, “benzene” or toilet bowl cleaner. It may cause damage to the surface of unit. Use a wet cloth. Do not spray water directly on to the Spannring Shower-Toilet. When you clean the unit, disconnect the power plug.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Trouble The water does not spray
The water is not warm
The water pressure is weak
Cause
Remedy
The water tank is not filled.
Wait about one minute.
The shutoff valve is closed.
Turn on the shut off valve to open.
Freezing inside the main unit or the water supply pipe.
Heat the room (for about two hours). Operating the unit while parts are frozen will cause a malfunction. Set the water temperature to „+ (high)“.
The water temperature is set to „- (low)„. Continuous operation has depleted the supply of warm water The water pressure level is set to „- (low)„
Wait about 3 minutes.
Set the water pressure to „+ (high)“. Clean the strainer.
Seat and dryer are not warm

Note: The flushing of the toilet does not depend on the shower toilet. It is activated by the button on the wall or on the tank and can be used as a traditional toilet at any time.
