How to Communicate with Parents Using Team Website or SI Play App Coaches have multiple options for communicating with parents using the Sports Illustrated system. Those options are: -

Text/Email through the mobile app Team Chat through the mobile app Email from the team website Text from the team website

Below are instructions on how to use each option.

SI Play mobile App This section assumes that you have downloaded and logged into the Si Play mobile app as a coach or manager of a team.

Team Chat 1. Go to the Messages button located at the bottom. If you are part of multiple teams, choose the team that you would like to message. 2. Type your message into the provided area and click Send. All parents on the team will see these messages and can reply NOTE: Team Chats added through the website will NOT be visible in the SI Play mobile app and vice versa.

Text/Email 1. Go to the Messages button located at the bottom. If you are part of multiple teams, choose the team that you would like to message. 2. In the top right corner of the screen, you will see Send easyAlert. Here you can click the + sign to choose who you want to send the email/text to. You can send to multiple players at a time and exclude anyone you choose. 3. Type your message in the provided area and click Send.

NOTE: This option will send an email to everyone on the team as long as there is an email address associated with their account. The only parents/players that will get a text are those that have opted in to receive text messages in their Account Settings. For most efficient use of the system, encourage parents to opt-in to text messaging.

Roster 1. The entire roster will be visible in the mobile app; however, contact information for each player will not be visible unless the “Share with Team” option has been selected for that player’s phone/email address. If you wish to see that contact info in the app for a player, the parents will have to log in and change those settings for you.

Team Website This section assumes that you have logged in to the team website either on a computer or on your mobile device.

Team Chat 1. Go to the Team Chat option on the website, and click +Add New Chat. 2. Type your message into the provided area and click Start New Chat. All parents on the team will see these messages and can reply NOTE: Team Chats added through the website will NOT be visible in the SI Play mobile app and vice versa. Anything posted via Team Chat will not be visible to the public, only to parents/players that are logged in as someone associated with the team.

Email Team 4. Go to the Email Team button located at the bottom under Coach Tools. If you do not see Coach Tools, you are not logged in as a team coach/manager. 5. Under To, click Recipients and choose who you want to send the email to. You can send to multiple players at a time and exclude anyone you choose. 6.
