This needs to include creative images that explore an idea based on a theme of choice, a sample of written analysis to support the images and research into the work of a favourite photographer. Candidates who wish to continue to A2 must have the capability to present a personal study, based on an idea, issue, concept or theme of their choosing. This requires the students to be self-motivated and independent thinkers. The quality of their writing needs to be of a high standard as it is an important aspect of this unit.
