Hexagons: (A) Cut the largest hexagon from 64 assorted and 19 Background squares using the Hexagon Ruler. (B) Mark ¼" away from the edge at each of the corners. (C) Cut 9 Backgrounds in half.

How to sew the blocks together: (A) First sew the hexagons in rows. Press the seams open.

Join the large hexagons by machine. The ¼" marked spots are your stopping and starting points when sewing. (A) Line up 2 hexagons, sew in a few stitches from the marked spot, then backstitch to hold this seam in place being careful not to sew into the ¼" opening. Sew to the next marked spot (B) then backstitch. Align the sides of the hexagons then begin sewing at marked spot. Note: This step becomes easier and easier with practice. However, it does become cumbersome to handle as the quilt top gets larger. Pressing and lightly starching as you go makes the top more managable.

Trim the top and bottom of the quilt even with the top of the large hexagons. Trim the sides of the quilt leaving a ¼" seam allowance.

Add the 4½" wide Final Borders, sides first then the top and bottom. Measure across the center of the quilt for the best measurement for the border lengths.

Join the 9–2½"x WOF strips for the Binding. Layer, quilt and bind the quilt. ENJOY!
