ME Recipe: Slow Cooker Italian Sausage Soup Ingredients:   •

1  pound  Italian  sausage  



1/3  cup  chopped  onion  



1  small  green  pepper,  diced  



1  can  diced  tomatoes  (14.5  oz  per  can)  



2  cans  low  sodium  beef  broth  (14-­‐oz  per  can)  



1  cup  frozen  green  beans  

Directions:   Brown  sausage,  onion  and  pepper;  drain.  Place  in  the  slow  cooker  along  with  tomatoes  and   broth.  Cover  and  cook  on  LOW  7-­‐8  hours—last  hour  of  cooking  time,  add  green  beans.     Makes  7  cups   Nutrition  per  cup:   75  cals   4g  fat   5g  CHO  (1g  fiber)   7g  protein
