SMFM - AJOG Submission Guidelines Submission requirements: Before submitting your abstract or paper please consult the AJOG Guide for Authors. It is important to note that the SMFM and AJOG use the same standards for abstracts, so please refer to this guide before preparing your SMFM abstract as well. SMFM submissions must adhere to all AJOG policies, which also applies to abstracts presented at a society meeting and published as a result of the proceedings. Submission deadlines: Due to the associated time constraints and online overload authors are strongly encouraged to submit prior to the designated deadline. Fast-Track  Deadline: Monday, November 14, 2016 (midnight – Pacific Time) (2017 - Oral Presentations only) As a 2017 oral presenter you are eligible to submit your paper via AJOG’s Fast-Track review and publication process. If you would like to take advantage of the Fast-Track option the paper must be submitted by the deadline and you are required to revise the paper quickly in response to editorial review. Papers accepted via the Fast-Track will be published as early as March both in print and online. Abstracts presented in poster form are not eligible for the Fast-Track and should be submitted as a regular SMFM submission by Friday, March 3, 2017, or anytime as a regular AJOG submission. SMFM Submission ● Deadline: Friday, March 03, 2017 (midnight – Pacific Time). (2017 - Oral and Poster Presentations) Authors of 2017 oral and poster presentations are able to submit through the regular SMFM submission process. Accepted papers will appear online as an Article in-press within two weeks from the date of final acceptance. A PDF file of the accepted manuscript version is clearly marked, citable using the DOI (Digital Object Identifier), and fully searchable. Print versions will appear in the September or October issue of the journal. IMPORTANT To ensure that your research is processed promptly and does not fall within the general

population please include the following two items upon submission: 1) Select SMFM as the article type. 2) Under ‘Author Comments’ include the SMFM Abstract # and Oral or Poster. Should you submit your research directly to the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology as a regular submission or to any other journal you must ensure that the paper is not published in any form prior to the annual meeting (this includes online articles in press). The society will withdraw any presentation from the program if published before the annual meeting.
