Centerville Rec Soccer Parents, We are thrilled to bring the Columbus Crew back to Centerville for our "Soccer Rocks" event, next Wednesday (May 6) at 6:00pm. We have a long-running relationship with the Columbus Crew and this will be our 11th anniversary for hosting this exciting event. What is "Soccer Rocks"? The MLS Columbus Crew organization will be sending down some current players and coaches and they will actively participate with our U5-U14 Rec kids out on the fields. The kids will participate with their age group (e.g. U8B) and will rotate through a variety of soccer-related stations. At the end of the session, the kids will be given a souvenir Columbus Crew item and may have it autographed by Crew players, if they desire. Note: Players are limited to having only one item signed. We will wrap up for the evening between 7:45 and 8:00pm. This event is included in your registration fees and we absolutely encourage all U5-U14 players to attend. Current season's uniforms are required to participate, and players should bring a labeled soccer ball and water bottle. While parents and non-playing siblings are permitted to attend the event, they will not be able to participate in the activities or receive the free gift....those perks are for currently registered U5-U14 Rec players only! As we have over 800 kids in our program this season, Oak Grove will be crowded that night so please plan extra time to park and walk to the Stadium Field. The event begins promptly at 6:00, so please arrive and find your child’s gathering space (grouped by age division) by 5:45pm. Please use extra caution while driving and parking, and park only in designated spaces to avoid being towed. Parking is strictly enforced.
