Major Technical Series Sponsor Breakfast Series Our Breakfast Series consist of 3-5 sequential training sessions focused on various technical or soft-skills topics. These seminar-style meetings are hosted on Thursdays at the Calgary Petroleum Club. Expected attendance: 200 per series SPE Conference Workshops Frequency: Annually Expected attendance: 50-100 per workshop Topic: Driving Technical Innovations & Overcoming Challenges in the Energy Industry, Leadership Speakers, and Case Study Special Interest Group Luncheons Technical Luncheons are hosted every Tuesday at the Calgary Petroleum Club and are delivered by expert speakers from different disciplines, including: “Reservoir Evaluation & Production Optimization”, “Projects, Facilities & Construction”, “Heavy Oil & Horizontal Wells”, “Drilling & Completions”, “Geomechanics”, “International Business Development”, “Petroleum Economics”,“Intersociety”, and “Back to Basics”. Expected attendance: 50-100 per luncheon Distinguished Lecture Luncheons Distinguished Lecturers are nominated by their peers and are selected annually by SPE to share their knowledge and expertise with SPE members through visits to local sections Expected attendance: 50-100 per luncheon Social & Networking Events Our social and networking events aim to provide a channel for meeting like-minded peers for fun, family-friendly activities. Most events are designed to target 50-100 attendees. Examples of this year’s events include: Lunch Meet & Greet with 2018 SPE President Calgary Jazz Orchestra Valentine’s Concert (February 12, 2017)
