Application from eligible Retired Government Employees are invited for recruitment of Consultant (1 No.) to be engaged on contractual basis to provide technical support on need basis in Soil & Land Use Survey of India (SLUSI) in disciplines of Soil Science/Geography with specialization in the field of drafting and editing of soil survey reports / Application of Remote Sensing & GIS / Soil Laboratory data analysis. Educational Qualification:
M.Sc./Ph.D in Soil Science/Geography. Preference will be given to candidates with Doctorate Degree having 10 years of experience of soil survey and mapping at various scales, soil genesis and taxonomic soil classification along with the Application of Remote Sensing & GIS in the field of soil survey. Ability to analyze data and preparation of projects, MIS System, writing reports, seminar notes, articles etc. as evidence by publication in national and international journals. The person should have the ability of team leadership & motivation.
The consultant will be engaged on full time contractual basis, initially for a period of six months with consolidated honorarium which shall be decided at the time of contract. Duties:
To analyze and interpret spatial and non-spatial database using RS & GIS techniques. Drafting and editing of soil survey reports. To assist senior officers in all technical activities. To perform other tasks specified by Head of the organization / other officers. Any other technical work assigned time to time, by officers of SLUSI.
