Somerset College Academic Results 2010 Another outstanding set of results for our students has ensured that the overwhelming majority have received their first preferences to tertiary courses. There were many highlights, with the following statistics particularly worth celebrating. • 12 OP1s and 12 OP2s, just on 20% of the cohort • 41% OP1 to OP5 • 58% OP1 to OP7 • 69% OP1 to OP10 • 91% OP1 to OP15 • 47% achieved an A on the QCS Test! • A median OP of 6, ie over half the cohort received an OP6 or better! This is the third year in a row that the graduating class has achieved this outcome. I know of only two or three other schools in Queensland that could claim this. • 22 of our Seniors were treated as OP1s in their tertiary entrance because of bonus subjects. But the most amazing statistic of all is in the following graph. The most common OP score for Somerset students since the system was changed in 1992? An OP1 … 168 students have achieved this, or 7.4% of the cohort, three times the State average, year after year after year. We congratulate the Class of 2010 for these results but more for their leadership and service to their College and community.
