Soul Thirst As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. – Psalm 42 Opening Thought: Our SOUL Thirsts for a relationship with God. a) What does ‘relationship’ mean to you? 1. Our SOUL thirsts. Have you ever had a desperate need for food or water? If not, what have you been desperate for? Do you long for something more, deep in your soul? Does it seem dry? 2. Often we do not even know what we are thirsty for! Did you ever invest your time and effort in something that you were sure would satisfy your desires, only to discover that after you achieved it, there was little to no lasting satisfaction? 3. There are many wells that cannot satisfy our thirst. a) What are some things that you have used, to try and satisfy your SOUL THIRST? b) The world tells you to follow your heart and you will be happy. What does Jeremiah 17:9 tell us about this ‘well’? “The heart is more deceitful than all else and is desperately sick; Who can understand it?” 4.Only GOD can satisfy our SOUL THIRST.

“Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.” – Psalm 90:14 a) God knows you FULLY. b) God loves you FULLY. Reflect: How has God has met all your needs with His unfailing love? Prayer: Make a short list of those things that you will determine to pray for this week (co-workers, students, family) potential prayer : God, open my eyes to see how you love and care for me. I commit to spend more time with you this week. Go Deeper:
