Athletics Director’s Corner In this issue, the AD’s Corner spotlights Carla B. Mitchell, our Director of Ticket Operations, as she shares information on purchasing tickets for the upcoming Football and Basketball seasons. Carla B. Mitchell is entering her 11th year as the Director of Ticket Operations at South Carolina State University.

Prior to joining the athletics department, Mitchell spent five years as an accounting clerk at the SC State Foundation, Inc. She also had an eight-year stint at the Montgomery & Company Insurance Agency where she was a licensed property and casualty agent.

A native of Orangeburg, S.C., Mitchell attended SC State to pursue a degree in criminal justice. She is also an alumnus of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. Mitchell is an active member of Andrew Chapel Baptist Church, SC State National Alumni Association (Orangeburg County Alumni Chapter), SC State Employees Association, National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and The State Club. She is the proud mother of three children: Shannon Rashad, Kimberly Nichole and Emanuel Desane.
