Entries: 1. All entries and declarations must be completed on-line at www.directathletics.com Please enter athlete’s best mark from the 2017 outdoor season or 2018 indoor season. Entry/Declarations deadline is Tuesday, February 27 at 11:59pm for Girl’s Team Entry Entry/Declarations deadline is Wednesday, February 28 at 11:59 pm for Boy’s Team Entry
You may make changes to your entries up until the deadline time. 2. Three individual entries and one relay from each team will be allowed per event. We are limiting field sizes in the 3200m run. Entry standards of 11:00 minutes for boys and 13:00 minutes for girls. If you have a freshman or an athlete who has improved significantly during the fall/winter please e-mail meet administration for approval (

3. No unattached or club athletes allowed. 4. Please enter athletes only in events they plan on competing. This keeps our costs down and therefore keeping your entry fees down. 5. There will be NO meet day additions or changes – however, substitutions may be made, but no name changes will occur. Times/Marks will be given under the original name of entry for event. Location: Southern Illinois University – Carbondale, Student Recreation Center Scoring: This will be a non-scored meet. Packet Pick-up: Packets can be picked up at the check-in table in the Rec. Center the day of the competition. Entry Fee (you pay by the number of athletes entered, not how many you bring to compete): $150/Boy’s Team (8 -15 entered athletes) $150/Girl’s Team (8 – 15 entered athletes) $200/Boy’s Team (16 or more entered athletes) $200/Girl’s Team (16 or more entered athletes) $20/Individual for teams of 7 or less individuals entered (example – 7 athletes x $20 = $140) Make checks payable to Southern Illinois University (cash acceptable)
Please bring your method of payment with you to the meet – Do not Mail checks & Credit Cards will
not be accepted. Cash or check will be received when picking up meet packet. Heat Sheets/Results: Detailed time schedules with specific event times will be available on our website Thursday, March 1st. Heat sheets will be available at http://siusalukis.com/sports/2016/9/28/home-meets.aspx the night before each genders meet respectively. Results will be posted on the wall of the Rec. Center at the conclusion of each event. Results will be available to coaches as soon as possible at the conclusion of the meet and online. See Timing below.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in all events. Coaches must pick these up at the conclusion of the meet. They will not be mailed! Timing: All races will be electronically timed by endurance race timing. www.enduranceracetiming.com Weigh-Ins: Weigh-ins will take place near the shot-put. Friday they will open at 1:30pm and Saturday at 8:30am. Equipment: We will provide starting blocks for the 60m, 60m hurdles, 200m, and 400m. No personal blocks allowed. Teams are responsible for providing throwing implements Admissions: Adults $5.00;
Students (6th- 12th grade) $3.00;

Merchandise Sale: T-shirts will be for sale Concession Sale: A concession stand will be open upstairs near the entrance. Track Facility: The Student Recreation Center’s indoor track is Mondo SuperX 720 track, one of the fastest surfaces in the world. Spikes will be checked at all event areas and or at the check in table, ¼ inch pyramid spikes only, NO EXCEPTIONS. NO Xmas or Needle spikes allowed! – SEE SPIKE Page Below. Spikes will be sold a bag of 14 for $5.00. Parking: Available in the north lot behind the Student Recreation Center (SRC). BUSES MUST PARK IN LOT 106 – TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED FOR VIOLATIONS. Please see the attached map. Athletic Trainers: Trainers will be available for emergency situations only. Other Notes: 1. A final time schedule based on number of entries will be available Thursday, March 1 (in the afternoon). Please check www.siusalukis.com (link to men’s track or women’s track) 2. Shot-put events will be contested in seated flights (low to high). 3 attempts in prelims will be given and the top 8 competitors will be in finals. NEW - Long Jump and Triple Jump will be contested with 1 or 2 Timed Flights of 3 attempts. The top 8 will then have a 3 attempt seeded final flight. Minimum marks will be utilized (determined after entries are finalized), first legal attempt will be measured regardless of distance. Thereafter marks will only be measured if beyond the minimum distance line. 3. Estimated finish times: Friday between 9:00-10:00 pm; Saturday between 5:00-6:00 pm. 4.
Athletes and coaches should enter the Rec. Center through the main doors on north side or south side of building. Doors will open at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 2 and at 8:15 am on Saturday, March 3.
5. Please instruct your athletes to stay off of the wooden basketball court. Water only allowed on competition track! No food or other beverages will be permitted. 6. FACILITY REGULATIONS All spikes must be presented and will be checked at the spike check table. Athletes will not be allowed to compete without having their spikes tagged at the spike check table. Any athletes competing with non-tagged spikes will be disqualified. SPIKES will be for sale; 14 for $5
Acceptable spikes: only 1/4” pyramids
Tape for any marking on the track (relay exchange zones, jumpers’/throwers’ markings) must be white athletic tape. NO other tape will be allowed. Chalk is prohibited for any marking. Athletes caught using chalk you will be disqualified. HYDRATION
Water and Gatorade are the only permitted drinks allowed on the track facility. ELECTRONICS
Headphones and cell phones are not allowed in the competition or warm-up area of the track and field complex.
