[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, April 26, 2018 4:51 PM To: Town Manager Cc: Sheila Armstrong Subject: Generator Bid Review Bob; Below, please find my comments; 1) Price: EGE (Eau Gallie Electric) by -$10K 2) Maintenance Contract: EGE +$260 per year 3) KW size: EGE +20 KW. The larger generator will carry the load at lower RPM, will run longer on the 550 gallon tank. 4) Completeness of proposal: Zabatt, they include more data but may have omitted the service at Public Works 5) Proximity: EGE: about 4 miles vs 3 hours EGE could have been more thorough, however I believe they are relying on their local reputation rather than documentation. My recommendation is EGE, based upon price, location, generator size and reputation. I also recommend that we try to tighten up their schedule. I’d rather see a completion date of mid August than 9/10 to get ahead of storm season. In reviewing their schedule allowing 14 days for owner review is “fat” and other items are comfortably padded for worse case. I’m keeping this short as I’m using my phone to reply. Please call with any questions. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone Scott Glaubitz PE;PLS 312 So. Harbor City Blvd Melbourne, Fl. 32901 Cell 321-403-1436 Office 321-725-3674
