It is the intent of this specification to describe the minimum requirements for SNOW PLOW CUTTING EDGES – CARBIDE TIPPED for Milwaukee County.

REFERENCES: If articles have been identified in the bid by a “brand Name” and model number, such reference is intended to be descriptive but not restrictive. It is for the sole purpose of indicating to the prospective bidders a description of articles that will be satisfactory. Other items of meeting specifications will be accepted.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS: All features below shall be incorporated in the proposed cutting edges. Acceptable products are as follows, all others shall be equal to, or exceed specifications outlined below. If the bidder is submitting alternatives, the bidder shall identify per submission instructions. A sample of any alternative item will be required, only of the low bidder, prior to award. Any alternative(s) offered shall be subject to a determination of equivalency, performed solely by Milwaukee County. 3. Holes: All blade holes shall be 11/16” diameter countersunk holes, either drilled or punched. Number and location of holes shall be as follows – 36” blade – 3-3--12-3-3” hole spacing and shall be 1 1/2” from top of the blade. 48” blade – 3-3--12-12-3-3” hole spacing and shall be 1 1/2" from top of the blade.

4. Carbide Groove: The groove for the carbide inserts shall be milled in the center of the blade edge. The groove shall be in line within 1/32” of established center line.

DELIVERY Orders received by the Contract Vendor between October 1st and April 15th shall be delivered within 14 calendar days unless an alternative date is agreed to by the purchaser. Orders received by the Contract Vendor between April 16th and August 15th shall be delivered within 60 calendar days unless an alternative date is agreed to by the purchaser.
