Description KiBiSi set out to make a sofa with strong architectural references since KiBiSi partner Bjarke Ingels couldn’t really find the right architect’s sofa for his apartment. The point of departure was a classic brick bond forming the cushion pattern. The cushions are tied together and fixed with a tailor quality button. The button, also designed by KiBiSi, is molded of fiber concrete – Yet another architectural reference.
Construction Base sections are constructed from European plywood - a tough, light an durable solution. The cushion structure are held in place and supported by steel tubes and stainless steel construction. Foam construction is built entirely from EcoTex labeled fire retardant cold cured foam. Versus only use high end and high density foam qualities for comfort and durable shape for many years. All cushions have a core of 35 kg. foam covered in high end 40 kg. foam glued into shape. All cushions are covered with polyester netting for smooth fabric movement.4 small adjustable legs on each base section. Strong metal fittings keep the base sections locked to each other. A strong design feature is the concrete button - designed by KiBiSi for Brick.
