Spirit Wear Sales When: Fall Spirit Wear Sales – Aug/Sept 8th Grade T-shirts – Oct/Nov 5th Grade T-shirts - May Needed: 3-4 volunteers to organize and run sales How to get involved: find info about purchasing clothing in school newsletters or on Facebook, contact PTO Co-Presidents if you would like to help plan clothing sales What is it? Seeing students wear their Urbandale gear boosts the sense of community and belonging in the school. Each summer, before the school year begins, PTO puts together an order form for new Urbandale and UMS spirit wear. Orders are taken the first few weeks of school, and families receive their items by October. 8th Graders have a special t-shirt made just for them – artistic students submit design ideas, the entire grade votes on their favorite, and t-shirts are ordered in time for the 8th Grade party in November. Lastly, PTO makes UMS t-shirts available to 5th Graders in the spring, so they can come to school in style in August.
