Dressing Up to Show School Spirit
Zombie Day, Paradise Day, and Black and White with a Twist of Orange Day. Spirit Week gave students a variety of ways to dress up and show school spirit. Students had many differing opinions. Some liked being able to wear crazy outfits to school. “I like dressing up because you get to wear clothes that you wouldn’t normally wear, and you can dress really crazy,” said seventh grader Daisy Tellez. Others liked showing their school spirit. “I enjoy dressing up and being creative to show my school spirit,” said sophomore Lydia Kahle. Others liked Paradise Day. “Paradise Day was my favorite because we made a cool Jamaican bobsled that should have won,” said senior Michael Lee. On Wednesday, Jacy Hewitt won first place. On Paradise Day, Alyssa Cochnar won first place, and on Friday Anthony Bonilla won. “I made my longhorn head by myself in art so I was very excited when I won,” said eighth grader Bonilla. Overall, the seniors won, the juniors were second, the eighth grade was third, the 7th grade was fourth, the sophomores were fifth, and the freshmen were sixth. Waiting in anticipation, Brandon Stilwagon, Meredith Behrens, and Jacy Hewitt get excited about hearing which class will be announced the winner. The seniors won the bragging rights as the “Most Spirited Class.”

3 Representing the 8th grade class during Zombie Day, Chris Nelson, Agustine Perez, and Marivelle Magana look like the living dead. Chris ended up placing fifth.
