JOB POSITION – Spiritual Growth Ministry – Spiritual Growth Coordinator: Bible Engagement Focus

The Faith Community Church of Hopkinton is a thriving non-denominational evangelical Christian church with a weekend attendance of 1000 with a commitment to seeing lives transformed through Jesus Christ. Our desire is to guide people to a deeper relationship with Christ and a greater love for others. WORK TYPE: part-time, exempt position approximately 20-25 hours per week (flexible) The Spiritual Growth Coordinator will manage their work hours to ensure completion of necessary tasks and appropriate supervision of the work of the teams they lead. By definition of their exempt status, an exempt employee may work any number of hours in a single workweek and not receive overtime pay or compensation time. However, Faith Community Church may choose to provide exempt workers with additional benefits beyond FLSA-mandated salaries without altering their FLSA status at the discretion of the director and with his/ her approval. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Spiritual Growth Coordinator with a Bible Engagement Focus is responsible guiding people to a deeper appreciation, understanding use of and devotion to the Word of God in their everyday lives. The Coordinator will ensure that the Bible Engagement focus of Spiritual Growth operates in a clear, compelling manner in keeping with the mission, vision and values of Spiritual Growth and the church. This involves researching, designing, developing and / or discovering Biblical content based on the needs and preferences of people in every stage of their Faith Path. The coordinator also ensures that this curriculum is adaptable to various learning methods and delivery systems appropriate to both individual and group based learning and practice. Everyone from a person who is growing in Christ to being Christ Centered should have resources available to encourage their next step in spiritual growth. Curriculum delivery through individual teachers/ presenters also falls under the responsibilities of this position. In addition, the person will recruit, equip and supervise a variety of ministry partners and teams responsible for implementing the Bible Engagement component of the Spiritual Growth ministry. As a member of the Spiritual Growth Ministry Team, this coordinator works collaboratively and cooperatively with both other members of the Spiritual Growth Team and every other ministry team of the church to ensure good communication and unity of purpose. Researching curriculum for our FAITH Path, sermon topics and next steps, small and accountability groups, and individual spiritual disciplines Designing, developing and/or purchasing curriculum Distributing curriculum in our FAITH Path, seminars, classes and small and accountability groups

Teaching Team  Create and oversee teachers for our seminars, classes and FAITH Path Collaborate with other teams within Spiritual Growth to achieve the goals within the Bible Engagement Team o Partner with the Faith in Action Team for curriculum for soul care events o Partner with the Faith In Action Team to provide content and opportunities to practice individual spiritual disciplines o Partner with the Relational Focus Team for curriculum for our small groups and accountability groups o Participate in Synergy as a core lead participant Collaborate with Support Ministry to coordinate office assistance, building use and audio-visual technology needs Develop communication of Faith in Action opportunities to the congregation Perform various administrative tasks required to perform the above roles Support additional work as required by the Pastor of Spiritual Growth
