The purpose of SLVSEF is to operate an annual science and engineering competition in the Salt Lake Area for 5th-12th grade students. This currently includes students in the Canyons, Murray, North Sanpete, Park City, Salt Lake, and Tooele school districts, the Salt Lake Catholic Diocese, and private and charter schools that fall within these boundaries. SLVSEF provides a forum for students to present their scientific work and interact with experts in their field to receive feedback on their efforts.
