SPORTING SCHOOLS - SNOWSPORTS PROGRAM Little Shredders is an ‘off-snow’ program aimed at teaching children the basics of snowsports without actually visiting the slopes. Little Shredders provides the opportunity for children to learn the fundamental skills of skiing and snowboarding from the convenience of the school yard or gymnasium, through game based learning with fun and interactive equipment.
Term 1, 2018 Little Shredders applications are now OPEN. Little Shredders is the perfect program that schools can run to create awareness of snowsports, both during and after the 2018 Winter Olympics which will be held in PyeongChang in February 2018. Each participant in the Little Shredders program receives a Golden Ticket, redeemable for a free on-snow ski or snowboard experience at any Australian Resort*. (*Conditions apply).
How to Register: Step 1: Visit www.sportingschools.gov.au/get-started/schools and apply for your funding. Schools are eligible for up to $3,100 funding to be spent on certified Sporting Schools programs such as Little Shredders Step 2: Once your funding is approved, book the Little Shredders program online at: www.sportingschools.gov.au/sports/ski-and-snowboard-australia Step 3: Confirm your Little Shredders booking, or contact SSA to assist with booking your program. When the booking is confirmed SSA will arrange to send out the equipment kit to your school.
