CARING FOR YOUR ZHUMELL SPOTTING SCOPE WARNINGS • Never look at the sun through your spotting scope. Doing so can cause permanent damage to your eyes, including blindness.
• Always be sure your spotting scope is properly held, secured, or stored.
• While viewing objects at distance, be sure to be aware of what’s going on around you to prevent harm to yourself or to your equipment.
CARE • When cleaning optical lenses, use included lens cloth or other soft, lint-free cloth. Remove any visible dust or debris by blowing or using a lens brush.
• To remove smudges or prints, rub gently in a circular motion with a lens cloth or other soft cotton cloth. Coarse fabric can scratch your lenses.
• If further cleaning is required, use lens cleaner or diluted isopropyl alcohol - other chemicals may damage your equipment. Always apply solution to a lens cloth first, never directly to the lens.
• Store spotting scope in a moisture-free area. Be sure to dry your equipment before packing it up.
• Always use lens caps when spotting scope is not in use. • Always store your spotting scope in a protective case to avoid accidental damage.

USING YOUR ZHUMELL SPOTTING SCOPE
To get the most from your Zhumell spotting scope, be sure to understand and properly use these features. Doing so will lead to the most satisfying experience possible from your new optical equipment.
SETTING MAGNIFICATION To set the eyepiece magnification, twist the Eyepiece Zoom between the ranges of magnification on your scope. The numbers and arrow on the eyepiece will show the current magnification setting.
FOCUSING To focus your spotting scope on an object, begin by setting the Eyepiece Zoom to the lowest magnification. Slowly turn the Focus Knob on the side of the spotting scope body until the image in the eyepiece becomes clear. You may need to make adjustments to the focus as you zoom in on an object.
ATTACHING TO A TRIPOD Your spotting scope is designed to fit directly onto the quick-plate systems commonly found on optical and photographic tripods. You need only to slide the spotting scope tripod mount into the mechanism of this type of tripod. Additionally, a traditional tripod screw can be used to screw into the bottom of the tripod mount on your spotting scope.
MOUNTING A CAMERA Your Zhumell spotting scope will work in conjunction with many digital and SLR cameras and is compatible with a variety of adapters. Follow the instructions on your camera adapter to use this feature.
