Spring 2018 NSO Schedule TUESDAY, JANUARY 9TH 9:00-10:00 A.M. NEW STUDENT CHECK-IN

Melton Hall, Waybright Center This is each student’s first stop at orientation! Students will receive all the information they need for orientation events, including schedules and essentials from departments such as Student Financial Services. This session is mandatory for all students.

9:30-11:30 A.M. HOUSING MOVE-IN**

Residence Halls After students attend New Student Check-In, they can get settled into their assigned residence halls. In addition to moving in, they will have the opportunity to meet their Residence Hall staff.

10:45-11:30 A.M. TRINITY TECHNOLOGY TRAINING FOR COMMUTER STUDENTS*

Rolfing Library Computer Lab All commuter students are asked to attend this mandatory training session. Important information and training regarding TIU communication and online systems for academics will be discussed.

11:45-12:45 P.M. WELCOME SESSION AND LUNCH WITH FACULTY

Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center Students and their families are invited to have lunch with faculty from each academic division prior to academic advising.

12:45 P.M. FAREWELL TO FAMILIES

The parent portion of orientation concludes at this time.

1:00-1:30 P.M. ACADEMIC INFORMATION

McLennan Classroom 152 This session provides students with vital information about their academic programs and course requirements.

1:30-2:15 P.M. ACADEMIC ADVISING & LATE REGISTRATION McLennan Academic Building, 2nd Floor Classrooms In this session students will receive information about academics, department advising and the opportunity to finalize course schedules. Be sure to bring a copy of your course schedule to advising.

2:30-3:30 P.M. COMMUNITY LIFE SESSION

LL 24/31, Lower Level Waybright Center This is a required session for all students. Learn more about the values of the Trinity community from the Student Life staff.

3:45-4:30 P.M. TRINITY TECHNOLOGY TRAINING FOR RESIDENTIAL STUDENTS**

5:00-6:15 P.M. DINNER & COLLEGE LIFE HACKS

Lantern Lounge, Waybright Center Over dinner, you will learn some college life hacks needed to thrive here at Trinity. Receive tips from students and staff about a variety of topics related to study skills, time management, email, spiritual growth in college and more!

7:00 P.M. RESIDENCE LIFE EVENT

Rushford Commons, Trinity Hall Join Residence Life for hot chocolate, dessert and time to hang out with other new students!

NOTE FOR COMMUTERS: Commuters should plan on attending all mandatory NSO events with the exception of Housing Move-In.

McLennan Academic Building Monday-Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. If you have questions about your student account or financial aid, go to Trinity Central for assistance.

NOTE FOR RE-ADMIT STUDENTS: Re-Admit students should plan on attending all mandatory NSO events.
