Frazier took over the Prairie View A&M program that had the nation’s longest losing streak from 1989-98, dropping 80 straight contests, and struggled through back-to-back 1-10 seasons in 2002 and 2003. In 2007, the Panthers enjoyed a four-game turnaround from the previous season as their 7-3 record marked the program’s first winning season since 1976. For his history-making efforts on the field, Frazier was selected as Coach of the Year by the College Sporting News and the Black College Sports Page.

After a history-making 2007 season, Frazier continued to rewrite the record books in 2008 as he led the Panthers to a No. 25 national ranking after the team posted its best 10:25 – 11:25 a.m. NCCU Football Staff record since 1964 with a 9-1 season. Due to his efforts, the national media took notice as Frazier was named the Offensive Coach – Michael Bryant QB Play Sheridan Broadcast Network/Eddie Robinson Coach of Defensive Coach – John Morgan Jr. the Year in addition to the American Football Coaches Association Region III FCS Coach of the Year. Teaching the 3-4 Defense In 2009, Frazier guided the Panthers to their first 11:35 – 12:10 p.m. NCCU Football Staff conference championship since 1964, beating Alabama A&M 30-24 in the SWAC title game. Prairie View Special Teams -Mike Mendenhall posted its second straight 9-1 record, going undefeated in Kickoff Coverage Assignment and Technique league play with its only loss a three-point setback at New Mexico State. He also became the first coach from Strength & Conditioning-John Reilly Bigger, Faster, Stronger in Football a historically black college or university to receive the Eddie Robinson Award, given annually by The Sports Network to the top coach in the Football Championship 12:20 – 1:30 p.m. LUNCH Subdivision.
