SRA 06A Page 2 March 29, 2006 PRESIDENT-ELECT’S COMMENTS ■
Popham - Congratulations to all o f you sitting at the table. So, what is the SRA? I think it’s important to say what the SRA is not. The SRA is not a w ay o f getting a line by-pass at Quarters, and it is not about padding your resume. If you are under these beliefs, then you may as w ell leave right now. Y ou should take the SRA seriously. The SRA is the highest governing body o f undergraduate students. I urge you all to do a good job and carry out your job descriptions. Contact your constituents. It w ill be a long year, but a fun year. It is also important to keep a balance betw een the professional and the personal. Disagreements are professional. I hope that people don’t want to com e and do nothing more than sit at meetings. It is important that you put your w hole effort into it. A lw ays speak very highly o f your constituents, as they are the reason you are here. I am looking forward to working with all o f you this year, and I hope that you are all com ing to Student R ecognition Night.
