STAGE FLASH Date:

12/11/11

Day:

2

Special Stage:

SS13 Sweet Lamb 1 (4.01km)

Weather:

Sunny, slight breeze

Road Conditions: Very muddy, drying

1. Sébastien Loeb (FRA) / Daniel Elena (MCO) (Citroën DS3 WRC) Very muddy in there, I made a few mistakes but the feeling is good 4. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Mikka Anttila (FIN) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) More grip in there than I thought, a clean run 6. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Not secure in third, no confidence. I'm feeling a bit stressed, thats not a good stage to be on and off the brakes if you don't need to be. But the sun is shining so not all bad 15. Henning Solberg (NOR) / Ilka Minor (AUT) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) It's very very slippery out there but we will try. The car is quite good so we will see. 52. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) (MINI John Cooper Works) Major problems, engine mount has gone and the turbo pipe has come off. No power and the gear change is clunking all the time. Very difficult run. 18. Ott Tänak (EST) / Kuldar Sikk (EST) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) That was OK, taking it steady 5. Matthew Wilson (GBR) / Scott Martin (GBR) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) We were very lucky as there was a massive rock on the left side near the finish that sent the car into the air but luckily we stayed on the road. Masses of support - always is in there. Checking our sump guard for damage now! 9. Dennis Kuipers (NLD) / Frederic Miclotte (BEL) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) The start was slippy with a lot of mud and not much grip. A quite nice stage, and the watersplash is good for spectators. This afternoon will be drier with better grip I hope. 10. Evgeny Novikov (RUS) / Denis Giraudet (FRA) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) That was a nice stage with some water and some jumps, not so bad. Didn't go so high on usps because of speed

2. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) (Citroën DS3 WRC) We had some trouble after the watersplash, because the engine stalled and we maybe lost one second, but we are OK 37. Dani Sordo (ESP) / Carlos Del Barrio (ESP) (MINI John Cooper Works) It was really nice, sometimes tricky and slippy but I like these stages. They are lovely for drivers as well as spectators. Really beautiful here. Going to try to enjoy it as yesterday knocked my confidence 43. Ken Block (USA) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Pretty happy that there is sun in Wales today. Driving carefully as the loose surface catches me out a bit. Unfortunate to see Kimi and Petter out though. Conditions are so different today - you get in the trees and it's like driving in ice. 19. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) (Subaru Impreza R4) The car is better but the balance is not what I like and I'm struggling to get the rythmn going. The road is still quite muddy and slippery after the rain last night. 17. Armindo Araújo (PRT) / Miguel Ramalho (PRT) (MINI John Cooper Works) Since the start we are trying to change the car but we can't find a good set up - I am fighting all the time and I cant be fast. We will see if I can find something more. 51. Martin Prokop (CZE) / Jan Tomanek (CZE) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) It's nice weather but we have to start again. We are trying to learn the car and I am very afraid of making mistakes. Some places are very slippy but for me it is better surface with better traction. 54. Kevin Abbring (NDL) / Lara Vanneste (BEL) (Skoda Fabia S2000) It's a great stage in there, we are enjoying ourselves. We are learning all the time 57. Sepp Wiegand (DEU) / Timo Gottschalk (DEU) (Skoda Fabia S2000) That was fun, more slippy than the last one and hard to know where the grip is so am braking too early 12. Daniel Oliveira (BRA) / Fernando Mussano (ARG) (MINI John Cooper Works) Not a long stage but that was OK 21. Patrik Flodin (SWE) / Timo Alanne (FIN) (Subaru Impreza) Good, that was a nice stage. Lots of spectators and the sun is shining, all good. 26. Martin Semerad (CZE) / Michal Ernst (CZE) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) Big gap in front and behind. I'm trying to keep a steady pace, enjoying the sun. 22. Michal Kosciuszko (POL) / Maciej Szczepaniak (POL) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) Electical problems which are affecting the diff 55. Karl Kruuda (EST) / Martin J?rveoja (EST) (Ford Fiesta S2000) Enjoyed that stage but not a good run, I can carry more speed into the corners.

58. Yazeed Al Rajhi (SAU) / Michael Orr (GBR) (Ford Fiesta S2000) Everything is ok, I enjoyed that one. 50. Jason Pritchard (GBR) / Dale Furniss (GBR) (Subaru Impreza) Nice to have a bit of a play, getting used to the new tyres. I've not used Michelins before but they are working well. 39. Benito Guerra (MEX) / Borja Rozada (ESP) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) Not too happy, we dropped 3 seconds to Pritchard but everything is ok. 62. Elfyn Evans (GBR) / Andrew Edwards (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) Car is running ok after last nights indiscretion. It was really slippy in there. 109. Craig Breen (IRL) / Gareth Roberts (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) Need to win every stage now - need to push! 28. Majed Al Shamsi (ARE) / Killian Duffy (IRL) (Subaru Impreza) Nice stage, enjoyed it. The car is managing! 61. Lorenzo Bertelli (ITA) / Lorenzo Granai (ITA) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) We had a problem with the clutch 53. Mattias Therman (FIN) / Janne Perälä (FIN) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X R4) Car is running OK now after troubled start - enjoying the weekend 59. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Edu Paula (BRA) (MINI John Cooper Works) Still disappointed to have gone off in the last stage, but we are still here 35. Nicolás Fuchs (PER) / Rubén Francisco Garcia (ARG) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) Better this time - I enjoyed it. 72. John MacCrone (GBR) / Stuart Loudon (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) I liked that, it was really enjoyable. We overshot a hairpin in front of everyone. Typical! 27. Harry Hunt (GBR) / Robbie Durant (GBR) (Citroën DS3 R3T) Engine problems but seems OK now 108. Egon Kaur (EST) / Erik Lepikson (EST) (Ford Fiesta R2) There was a few mistakes in there. My own mistakes but another stage done. 101. Alastair Fisher (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) First time in there on GB. Plenty of spectators in there, good fun. 116. Christian Riedemann (DEU) / Michael Wenzel (DEU) (Ford Fiesta R2)

Giuseppe Dettori (ITA) / Carlo Pisano (ITA) (Ford Fiesta S2000) Thumbs up 63. Tibor Erdi Jun (HUN) / Attila Taborszko (HUN) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) It was ok, our times are not too good.
