STAGE FLASH Date:

12/11/11

Day:

2

Special Stage:

SS16 Sweet Lamb 2 (4.01km)

Weather:

Mild, dry

Road Conditions: Mud drying

1. Sébastien Loeb (FRA) / Daniel Elena (MCO) (Citroën DS3 WRC) I am happy, OK, we lost a lot of power in the watersplash so the time will not be so good. 4. Jari-Matti Latvala (FIN) / Mikka Anttila (FIN) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Much slippy in the afternoon compared to this morning. The gravel has gone now and the hard bit has come which is packed mud and polished so it is really really slippy. I push hard too... 6. Mads Østberg (NOR) / Jonas Andersson (SWE) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) I dont know what is wrong. If I stop the car it will be on three cylinders. Maybe there is a leak in the coolant system. It seems to be a big problem and I'm not sure we can fix it at Service. I must only use high revs and no torque - thats the message from my team. I'm trying to save the engine. 15. Henning Solberg (NOR) / Ilka Minor (AUT) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Very slippery, I have to say it is very bad now but this is how it is. You just have to drive carefully 18. Ott Tänak (EST) / Kuldar Sikk (EST) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Really slippery now and quite polished. My times in the morning were OK but now it is not possible to do something better. 52. Kris Meeke (GBR) / Paul Nagle (IRL) (MINI John Cooper Works) A lot better pace, so we have set ourselves a mission to catch Henning. We're on target but it's very slippy out there. 5. Matthew Wilson (GBR) / Scott Martin (GBR) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) That one wasn't too bad but we had a terrible run through Hafren. The conditions are a lot worse. The difference in the stage was massive - I may have just thrown all the notes away it was impossible to drive it fast. 9. Dennis Kuipers (NLD) / Frederic Miclotte (BEL) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) So, so. The first time was better. We had a slow puncture in the first stage which was not easy, but we're OK... 10. Evgeny Novikov (RUS) / Denis Giraudet (FRA) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC)

Everything is fine with the car, but very hard to drive fast. 2. Sébastien Ogier (FRA) / Julien Ingrassia (FRA) (Citroën DS3 WRC) It's more slippy, the grip is not so good but same for everybody 37. Dani Sordo (ESP) / Carlos Del Barrio (ESP) (MINI John Cooper Works) This stage was OK but we have problem with understeer. We have more mojo now sun is shining 19. Hayden Paddon (NZL) / John Kennard (NZL) (Subaru Impreza R4) Roads very polished now, the car can't stop and doesn't brake and doesn't turn. When it's chewed up and muddy you can find some grip but not like this - I'm a little bit lost at the moment as his car is not working, its not stopping, or turning, don't know what to do. 17. Armindo Araújo (PRT) / Miguel Ramalho (PRT) (MINI John Cooper Works) We are not finding a good set up, so all the time we have the problem. We are learning a little bit and getting experience. 43. Ken Block (USA) / Alex Gelsomino (USA) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) These roads are getting ridiculous. They are muddy and rutted and rough and the challenge is amazing. We lost 40sec out of service. The team did a great job rebuilding my front end after hitting a gate. 51. Martin Prokop (CZE) / Jan Tomanek (CZE) (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) Still learning to drive the car. coming to the corners at wrong angles and things, but getting better. 54. Kevin Abbring (NDL) / Lara Vanneste (BEL) (Skoda Fabia S2000) Nice to drive on stages which have a lot of spectators. Better than the first time through, happier now we've got the lead back after the bad luck yesterday we've got the pace back and I'm enjoying it. 21. Patrik Flodin (SWE) / Timo Alanne (FIN) (Subaru Impreza) Really enjoying it but had a really scary moment in there, we nearly rolled after hitting a hole after a jump. 26. Martin Semerad (CZE) / Michal Ernst (CZE) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) We hit a big hole which was very unexpected 22. Michal Kosciuszko (POL) / Maciej Szczepaniak (POL) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) We hit a hole after a jump and I have hurt my back 55. Karl Kruuda (EST) / Martin Jarveoja (EST) (Ford Fiesta S2000) Is every thing still attached? We hit a big hole! 58. Yazeed Al Rajhi (SAU) / Michael Orr (GBR) (Ford Fiesta S2000) Everything is ok, except we have lost the rear screen. 39. Benito Guerra (MEX) / Borja Rozada (ESP) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) We think we may have holed the radiator

109. Craig Breen (IRL) / Gareth Roberts (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) That was fine, we just had to be clever going over the jump 28. Majed Al Shamsi (ARE) / Killian Duffy (IRL) (Subaru Impreza) That was crazy! 59. Paulo Nobre (BRA) / Edu Paula (BRA) (MINI John Cooper Works) What was that?! Have they been digging? It's that bad the marshalls are slowing us down. There are about six cars parked up there. 35. Nicolás Fuchs (PER) / Rubén Francisco Garcia (ARG) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X) That was a really bad jump and it's really bad in there. 72. John MacCrone (GBR) / Stuart Loudon (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) We have a problem with our gears - it keeps jumping out of gear. I need to keep my head 12. Daniel Oliveira (BRA) / Fernando Mussano (ARG) (MINI John Cooper Works) Going to retire - the car is going crazy. Think it's the diff 77. Becky Kirvan (GBR) / Will Rogers (GBR) (Ford Fiesta ST) That was OK. I went seventh through there. 108. Egon Kaur (EST) / Erik Lepikson (EST) (Ford Fiesta R2) Not happy with my different starting position 101. Alastair Fisher (GBR) / Daniel Barritt (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) Really rough in there. The steering column has come loose! 116. Christian Riedemann (DEU) / Michael Wenzel (DEU) (Ford Fiesta R2) Very rough, especially over the jump but very happy with my performance. This is my first time on Rally GB 63. Tibor Erdi Jun (HUN) / Attila Taborszko (HUN) (Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX) That was ok. 115. Molly Taylor (AUS) / Sebastian Marshall (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) We were slowed due to the conditions, better than breaking the car. 67. Nikita Philippov (RUS) / Sergey Garasimenko (RUS) (Subaru Impreza) We have broken steering or bottom arm 64. Luca Hoelbling (ITA) / Tullio Siena (ITA) (Subaru Impreza) So, so, lots of cars stopped in there. 103. Andrea Crugnola (ITA) / Michele Ferrara (ITA) (Ford Fiesta R2)

I'll be happy when I finish! 118. Timo van der Marel (NDL) / Erwin Berkhof (NDL) (Ford Fiesta R2) This stage should only have been run once - I needed a push! I'm 14sec away from the car in front 71. Kit Leigh (GBR) / Tim Leigh (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) Really tough in there, hope it's not dark for the next stage 121. Ashley Haigh-Smith (ZAF) / James Aldridge (GBR) (Ford Fiesta R2) It's like a graveyard in there! Learnt so much - definitely be back next year 75. Tony Jardine (GBR) / Robert McKenzie (GBR) (Subaru Impreza) Very rough in there, but luckily we were warned beforehand. The bowl wasn't nice 102. Jose Suarez (ESP) / Candido Carrera (ESP) (Ford Fiesta R2) Just taking it steady to the finish 74. Giuseppe Nucita (ITA) / Andrea Nucita (ITA) (Ford Fiesta R2) Still problems with the electrics. Engine still dying 69. Alessandro Uliana (ITA) / Masina Palitta (ITA) (Ford Fiesta R2) That stage was really hard and I'm a bit warm now 123. Christopher Duplessis (USA) / Karl Atkinson (IRL) (Ford Fiesta R2) That wasnt quite as awesome but it was fun. There are a lt of dead cars in there. 106. Brendan Reeves (AUS) / Rhianon Smyth (AUS) (Ford Fiesta R2) Really tough in there. Looking forward to the next year
