This unit is about controlling the information going into and coming out of PLM packages in order to support processes throughout the product lifecycle. Scope This unit/task covers the following: PLM packages:  off-the-shelf (eg Windchill, Teamcenter, Enovia, SAP-PLM)  bespoke for company/client Stakeholders:  product development team  subject matter experts  clients Other systems:  CAD  CAM  Sales Systems  After-Sales & Support Appropriate people:  supervisor  peers  product development team  subject matter experts Performance Criteria (PC) w.r.t. the Scope To be competent, you must be able to: PC1. check PLM packages to verify whether product records already exist PC2. obtain required data/information from stakeholders to set up and update product records PC3. clarify any issues with the data/information with stakeholders PC4. set up and update product records on PLM packages, following your organization’s procedures, guidelines and client-specific service level agreements (SLAs) PC5. obtain confirmation from stakeholders that details held in product records are correct PC6. carry out rule-based transactions using different functions of PLM packages as instructed PC7. generate standard reports from PLM packages in line with service level agreements (SLAs) as requested by stakeholders PC8. resolve anomalies when integrating data from other systems into PLM 12
