GENERAL INFORMATION, RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.)

All mounted riders must wear an ASTM/SEI approved hardhat.

2.)

Entry fee is $12/class unless otherwise stated.

3.)

Entries will close the Wednesday prior to the show. Late entries will be accepted with a $2.00 late fee per class.

4.)

There will be a $5 jump use fee for all riders jumping at the show and $5 office fee for all riders.

5.)

Division championships will only be awarded if all 3 classes are run. Ties for champion and reserve will be broken based on total points accumulated over jumps.

6.)

Points will be awarded as follows: 10, 6, 4, 2, 1, .5.

7.)

The same rider may not ride two different horses in any one equitation class.

Stalls will be available on a limited basis for a fee of $30.00/night bedding will be included. DERBY DAY: (Oct. 7th) Derby day STALLS: Priority will be given to exhibitors traveling the furthest distance. Day stalls will be given to exhibitors stabled within thirty miles of the horse show: Overnight Stalls: $30. Day Stalls: $25.

Management reserves the right to cancel, combine, divide or move a class(es) when deemed necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the show.

Class # 1: Open to all competitors and will be available at 2’3”, 2’6”, and 2’9”. Card will close after class 20. Competitors may enter the class as often as they wish but will be charged an entry fee for each round. 40% of the entry fee will be placed in a pot and prize money will be awarded to the top 4 riders. The under saddle class of this division is to be judged on the horses movement and suitability. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot and canter both directions of the ring.

Low Hunter

Short Stirrup Equitation

Classes #: 23, 24: Open to the horse/pony and junior/amateur rider combination who are under 18 years of age who have not shown over 18’’. To be shown over a course of not less than 6 jumps. fences not to exceed 18’’. The flat class of this division is to be judged on riders seat, hand, guidance, and control of the horse. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot, and canter both directions of the ring and any other testing deemed necessary by the judge. • Riders in this division cannot cross enter into any other over fence class that exceeds 18" in height at the same show but may ride in the flat portion of the division.

Long Stirrup Hunter

Classes #: 25, 26, 27: Open to any horse/pony and adult/amateur rider combination who are 18 years of age or older who have not yet shown over 18”. To be shown over a course of not less than 6 jumps. Fences not to exceed 18”. The under saddle class of this division is to be judged on horse’s movement and suitability. Long Stirrup Equitation Classes #:

28, 29: Open to horse and adult/amateur rider combination who are 18 year of age and over who have not shown over 18”. To be shown over a course of not less than 6 jumps. Fences not to exceed 18”. The flat class of this division is to be judged on rider’s seat, hands, guidance, and control of the horse. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot, and canter both directions of the ring and any other testing deemed necessary by the judge. • Riders in this division cannot cross enter into any other over fence class that exceeds 18" in height at the same show but may ride in the flat portion of the division.

Walk-Trot-Canter Division:

class # 30, 31, 32: Open all rider who are comfortable cantering in a group. This

division will consist of: • WTC Equitation flat: Judged on rider’s seat, hands, guidance and control of the horse. • WTC Pleasure: Judged on the enjoyable quality of the ride • WTC Hunter hack: This class will have 2 phases to be judged 60%- flat 40% over fences. The under saddle phase will be judged on the horse’s movement and suitability. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot and canter both directions. The second phase will consist of 2 obstacles set at varying heights depending on rider’s suitability. Heights available are poles, 18” cross rails, 2’3” and 2’6” verticals.

Walk -Trot Hunter

Classes #: 33, 34, 35: Open to horse/pony and amateur rider combination that are not comfortable cantering in the show ring. The over pole class of this division is to be shown over a course of not less than six poles at the trot. The under saddle class of this division is to be judged on horse’s movement and suitability. The pleasure class will be judge on enjoyment of ride and suitability. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot both directions of the ring. Riders in this division cannot cross enter into any other division at the same show except for the Walk-Trot Equitation division.

Walk-Trot Equitation Classes #:

36, 37: Open to horse/pony and amateur rider combination that are not yet comfortable cantering in the show ring. The over pole class of this division is to be shown over a course of not less than six poles at the trot. The flat class of this division is to be judged on rider’s seat, hands, guidance, and control of the horse. Competitors may be asked to walk, trot. • Riders in this division cannot cross enter into any other division at the same show except for the Walk-Trot Hunter division.

Lead Line

Class #: 38: Open to all horse/pony and amateur rider combination that are not yet ready to show off the lead. Riders may be asked to walk and trot with handler. • Riders in this class cannot cross enter into another class at the same show.

Classes:#: 39, 40: Open to all competitors. To be shown over a course of not less than 8 jumps not

exceeding .65’.

Schooling Jumper

Classes #: 41, 42, 43: Open to all competitors. To be shown over a course of not less than 8 jumps

not exceeding .80”.

St. Lawrence Mini-Prix Qualifier Class #: 44. ENTRY FEE: $30 Open to all competitors, fences not to exceed .90. Course may consist of any of the following: brush, gate, oxer, post and rail, water, liverpool, ditch, wall bank, panel or coop. To be eligible to compete in the October Mini-Prix Classic the horse must have entered and competed in qualifying class three (3) times, October show to count. Competitors will be judged based on table II.2.a/b as in USEF rulebook. Timed jump off to follow the 1st round for all clean rounds. Option 2 to be eligible to compete in the October Mini-Prix Classic a competitor may, on the day of the Mini-Prix Classic (October show) pay a buy-in fee of $200 (includes $50 entry fee).

Prize money of $50.00 will be given to the 1st place competitor at each qualifying competition with at least 3 competitors.

Training Jumper Classes #: 45, 46:

Open to all competitors to be shown over a course of not less than 8 jumps.

Fences.95 – 1.00 .

Open Jumper

Classes #: 47, 48: Open to all competitors to be shown over a course of not less than 8 jumps. Fences not to exceed 1.10.

DERBY DAY SCHEDULE 1. Hunter Warm up – open to any horse/pony and rider combination to be shown over a course of hunter type jumps. ($12) 2. Hunter Derby – 2’, 2’6”, 2’9” open to any horse /pony and rider combination to be shown over at least eight hunter type jumps. Judging will be based on performance; manners and way of going numerical scores will be given. The top twelve (12) scores will be invited back for the second round and a numerical score for this round combined with the first round score will be combined to determine placing. ($50) Prize money will be distributed as follows: 1st place $360; 2nd place $210; 3rd place $140; 4th place $100; 5th place $60; 6th place $50; 7th place $40; 8th place $40.

3. Cross Rail Hunter warm up – open to short and long stirrup riders to be judged together to be shown over a course of hunter type jumps. ($12) 4. Cross Rail Hunter Derby – open to short and long stirrup riders to be shown over a course of at least eight jumps numerical scores will be given. All riders will be invited back for a second round and the score of the second round combined with the first round score will determine placing. ($25) 5. Walk – Trot Maclay – open to walk trot riders. This class will be a two-phase class with a poles course judged 50% and a flat phase judged 50%. The two phases will be combined to determine placing. To be judged on equitation a test of the top four riders is optional. ($15) 6. Walk –Trot –Canter Plus – open to both junior and amateur riders. Riders will be asked to walk, trot, sit trot, trot in jumping position, halt, back, canter, and canter in jumping position. A test of any and all exhibitors may be asked. ($15) LEAD LINE: will be run on trainer request: Open to all horse/pony and amateur rider combination that are not yet ready to show off the lead. Riders may be asked to walk and trot with handler. • Riders in this class cannot cross enter into another class at the same show. ($15) BREAK TO SET COURSE FOR JUMPERS – There will only be schooling in ring over jumps if rain prohibits riders from schooling on grass 7. Equitation Challenge – to be judged over three height options 2’, 2’6, 2’9. Riders must declare their respective heights prior to the start of the class. There will be a test included in the first round. Numerical scores will be given and riders will be invited back to test on the flat at the discretion of the judge. ($20) 8. Schooling Jumper ($12) Open to all competitors. To be shown over a course of not less than 8 jumps not exceeding .80”. 9. Mini Prix Qualifier ($30) Open to all competitors, fences not to exceed .90. 13 10. St. Lawrence Mini Prix ENTRY FEE: $50.00 Open to those competitors who have competed in the St. Lawrence Mini-Prix qualifying class 3 times prior or bought in to the actual Mini-Prix event. This class is to be judged based on table II.2.a as in the USEF rulebook and will have a $1000 purse. • Formal attire required • Jumps will not exceed .90 in height • Prize money $1000 Prize money will be distributed as follows: 1st place $400; 2nd place $250; 3rd place $140; 4th place $100; 5th place $60; 6th place $50 Management reserves the right to alter prize money based on number of competitors in the class. •
