18 March 2016 PRESS RELEASE MARIO BROS DANCE ST MATTHEW’S TO VICTORY ST Matthew’s C of E School Dance Club topped the leaderboard at Gotta Dance this week with a Super Mario Bros dance routine that bagged them the title of Overall Borough Winner to bring home the trophy to Chadderton. All schools in the borough were invited to participate in the annual Gotta Dance competition at The Oldham Academy North in Royton on 16 March. The contest is aimed at primary and secondary schools, providing a safe and fun platform for showing off a range of dance styles. The 14 children from the St Matthew’s Dance Club impressed judges so much with their moves that they have been invited to perform at July’s Celebration of Dance as Borough Winners. This annual dance showcase takes place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in July. Headteacher Martin Moore said: “What a tremendous achievement from our young dancers.
