FIRST MONDAY CAFÉ Mark your calendars for the next First Monday Café on May 7th. The church will be open at 7:00 am to receive all your wonderful soups and delicious desserts. Don’t forget to come back at 11:00 am to enjoy a great lunch for only $5 and wonderful fellowship! Dessert is $1 extra.
Youth, E3 Hello congregants! As we come up on the close of the school year, there are two seniors who are graduating, that need to be recognized. Mugisha Bienvenu and Krisiten Wedegis will be graduating and moving on to bright futures. Mugisha will be graduating from Gainesville High School and beginning college at Emmanual as a criminal justice major. Krisin Wedegis will be graduating from Chestatee High School and beginning college at either the University of North Georgia or Georgia Tech as an undeclared major. Please help me in recognizing them and congratulating them on their success. *E3 will postpone our Wednesday night meetings beginning in May and will resume our regular Wednesday night schedule in August. We will continue to meet on Sunday nights over the summer. UPCOMING EVENTS: *On 5/6, E3 will visit The Oaks after the 11 am service to play Putt Putt. Please have your $5.00 into Amanda no later than 10:00 am (you can bring to Sunday School) on Sunday 5/6. We will leave the church at 1 pm and be back by 4 pm. The Oaks has concessions so feel free to bring a little extra money if you would like a treat.
*There will be no E3 on May 13 due to Mother’s Day. *We will be having a lock-in 5/18-5/19 here at the church. It is imperative that no student tries to drive home – and there’s not many that can, but for those of you who are able to drive, please make arrangements to be dropped off/picked up. We will tentatively meet at the church at 4:30 pm and then go to Sky Zone. After returning we will have games, movies, (sleep?) etc. until 8:30 am the next morning. Parents plan to pick up between 8:30 and 9:00 am. There will be no E3 on 5/20 so we can recoup from the lock-in weekend. Please have your $25.00 in to Amanda no later than Friday, 5/11. (this cost includes food at Sky Zone) *Sunday May 27th will be Movie Night for E3 at our regular scheduled time. So, a pretty busy month for E3! Please come be a chaperone if you would like to be a part of what we are doing. E3 is in need of chaperones, especially of the male variety! Please contact me anytime at [email protected]. – –
