An Introduction to SARH -LSVT for Stafford Borough.
-5,600 social rented homes and leaseholders. -Head office at Staffordshire Technology park. -180 staff and growing number of trainees.
An Introduction to SARH -A well financed and healthy organisation. -2012/13 - circa £18m total investment in providing new homes and improving existing homes in Stafford. -Development of Staffordshire First – trading subsidiary.
-Opportunities for economic investment and growth.
An Introduction to SARH -Commitment to addressing rural fuel poverty and environmental sustainability. -Provision of new sustainable homes on rural exception sites.
SARH ECO Projects • Highfields CESP/CERT project.
• Stafford Eco House – partnership working with SBC. • Air Source Heat Pump retrofit project.
SARH ECO Projects • 2012/13 - £2m photovoltaic retrofit budget. • Addressing rural fuel poverty in Stafford Borough – money advice, energy tariffs etc. • Building new homes to Code 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes. • Exploring options to test new sustainable technologies.
Future Challenges • Rising fuel prices. • Increasing thermal efficiency, SAP/ EPC ratings - expectations. • Addressing rural fuel poverty in Stafford Borough.
Future Challenges • Achieving Carbon Zero for New Build by 2016 – new construction technologies e.g Passivhaus, ‘fabric first’ approach. • Introduction of the Green Deal – an opportunity waiting to happen?
