This HANDS ON 3-day comprehensive workshop consists of two classes per day and a “But Wait...There’s More!” bonus time at the end of each day. Lunch included. This class was designed as an add-on stepping stone to our 3-Day Workshop and for those wanting to make the most of their Longarms. Kelly and Lynn step it up with years of experience of fix-it’s and how-to’s. Learn how to deal with fullness, create a square quilt & handle crooked seams using proven tips and tricks from professional quilters. Understand Batting guidelines ● Turning a quilt ● Binding on the frame. -- A longarm isn’t just for quilting tops! Learn techniques usually done with a sewing machine but accomplished with a longarm machine. You’ll leave with brilliant shortcuts and ideas for quick and easy projects as well as a whole new perspective on what’s possible with a longarm! ● “Slap-li-qué” ● Couching and embellishment ● Creating chenille ● Strip piecing quilting as you go

HQ Pro-Stitcher is a computer-guided quilting system designed especially for HQ longarm machines. User-friendly and simple to operate, the step-by-step process for each function is easy to master and fun to do. Students should bring their own tablets if they already have Pro-Stitcher for this lecture demo to follow along. Session 1 - Overview of menu & basic tools ● Working w/built-in designs; importing, saving & customizing designs ● Resizing & repeating a design to fit a specific area ● Handling thread breaks ● Creating, cropping & nesting edge-to-edge designs ● Placing borders, corners & triangles ● Wrapping & off-setting edge-to-edge designs Session 2 - Moving on With HQ Pro-Stitcher© Additional HQ Pro-Stitcher functions beyond basics.
