Stars and Stripes Shirt SUPPLIES
• Plain white T-shirt, pre-washed • T-shirt board (this can be a piece of cardboard with waxed paper taped to it to keep the paint from soaking through the front of the T-shirt to the back) • Red and royal blue Jacquard Textile Color paint • Star Fall stencil by TCW • Assorted sponge brushes
Using a quilt ruler and water-soluble marking pen, draw two-inch stripes across the lower part of the shirt.
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the T-shirt board inside the T-shirt and smooth out wrinkles. Tape the Star Fall stencil in place on the front of the shirt. Using a sponge brush and a SMALL amount of paint, dab the blue paint over the stencilcovered area of the shirt until all the stars are painted. Carefully move the stencil and repeat until the you have the desired number of stars.
For the bottom portion of the shirt. Measure the width of the shirt and divide that number by two. This will give you the number of twoinch stripes you need to paint.
