Saturday Night Lights 7 on 7 Competition Become an impact player! The program is designed to provide players with the competitive edge that helps them become invaluable resources to their teams. Only a small percentage of youth and high school football players have Football IQ which enhances their natural athletic ability with an understanding of the game, so that they may become impact players. For example, safeties that understand progressions and how to find their pass threats develop “learned anticipation” and make plays other athletes at their position do not. WHO WILL BENEFIT:
Ages 9-12

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: All Ages: Football IQ, 7 vs. 7 Competition QB’s - Route combinations, progressions, reads (who they are putting on islands), vertical and horizontal recognitions, defensive coverages and ball flight. WR’s and RB’s - Spacing, route running, footwork, ball security, catching, defensive reads, coverages and option routes. DB’s and LB’s - Set recognitions, threat progressions, alignment, footwork, ball reaction, defensive shifts and coverages.
WHEN AND WHERE : Saturday Nights, 4-9pm, January 21, 2012 through February 25, 2012
Los Alamos Park, Murrieta, CA 4 -5 pm: Practice 5-9 pm: Competitions * Film Review for older groups on Sundays
PLUS FOR COACHES:
Every team must have 3 volunteer coaches, 10 skill players (QB, WR’s, DB’s, and LB’s), and at least 3 Linemen. Coaches will be supervised and mentored by Prodigy Athletes coaches with the goal of providing resources --“other perspectives”, drills, film review, defensive and offensive mind sets -- that they can take with them into the next season.
COST: The cost is $150 includes a shirt.
