The boxspan Beam ®

boxspan® beams are made by joining two “C” shaped sections of high tensile steel together. This results in a double thickness flange and a single thickness web that puts the strength where it needs to be.

The result is a strong yet lightweight beam that is easy to handle and cost effective.
•
boxspan® has a zinc coating of 275g/m2 inside and outside the beam which meets BCA requirements. We also offer a thicker 600g/m 2 coating for coastal environments.
Perfect for Owner Builders • boxspan® is the perfect floor system for owner builders. boxspan® floor frames are designed to suit your specific project and are ideal for “Do It Yourself” installation. • All beams are supplied cut to length – there is no cutting required and no waste, saving time and money.
• boxspan® is provided with all brackets and screws required to complete the project. • Each beam is individually labelled for easy identification. • Full working drawings as well as interactive 3D drawings are supplied with every project to make it easy for you.
Ring Beam System •
The standard boxspan® floor design incorporates a ring beam around the perimeter of the floor frame.

This eliminates the need for blocking between joists saving you considerable time.
•
Its also provides a clear face to allow easy fixing of cladding, stairs and decks.
Ezi-Pier (adjustable steel piers) •
Ezi-Pier® makes it very easy to achieve a level raised floor.
•
The pier head provides the installer with 75mm of quick and easy adjustment.
•
Save time and money because the piers and floor frame can be installed without the need for bricklayers.
•
No ant capping is required as the adjustable pier head is a solid rod, which allows for visual inspection as required by the BCA .
