Kings’ Secondary School (state comprehensive) (1997-2002):  12 GCSEs – 6 A*s, 5 As, 1 B (including one taken a year early).  1 A at A/S Level – History (taken a year early).  Awarded the Subject Prize for English.

EMPLOYMENT: Business lawyer with experience of working on various transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, restructurings, joint ventures, IPOs and secondary offerings. Associate, White & Case LLP Corporate M&A Group (August 2011-March 2015). Trainee Solicitor at White & Case LLP (August 2009-August 2011).

2 VOLUNTARY WORK: Project Umubano Legal Project Volunteer in Sierra Leone (July 2012):  Helped to lead, organise and run the legal project for the Conservative Party’s Project Umubano in Sierra Leone aimed at supporting the country’s legal system after the civil war.  Led training workshops and ran meetings with various bodies. Social Mobility Foundation Mentor (March 2012-present):  Mentoring high achieving Year 12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Black Lawyers Directory Legal Launch Pad Mentor (January 2012-July 2012):  Mentoring a law student interested in pursuing a career in law. LSE Alumni Ambassador (March 2011-present):  Assisting London School of Economics with the recruitment of prospective students. School Governor at a Newham primary school (May 2010-present, chair of governors since November 2013):  Serving as a school governor in an inner-city London school. Also sit on the school’s Finance Committee. Pro Bono Work for Survivors Fund (SURF) (2009-2012):  Providing advice on potential civil compensation claims for Rwandan genocide survivors. Pro Bono Work for Lawyers Without Borders (September-November 2009):  Research on electoral violence in Africa. Survivors Fund (SURF) (July 2009):  Volunteering with a non-governmental organisation assisting survivors of the Rwandan genocide. Personal Support Unit (November 2005-September 2006):  Pro bono work at the Royal Courts of Justice assisting litigants-in-person (two days a month).  Collaborating with volunteers to solve clients’ problems and provide support to individuals who are unable to pay for their own legal representation.
