Stewardship: Time, Treasure, Temple, and Talents God Owns Everything. We are His Managers
What does spiritual maturity look like? 1. Our concern for others outweighs our concern for ourselves 2. We detect the presence of sin or danger before it is obvious 3. We have wisdom and understanding as well as knowledge 4. We have the discipline to carry out that which is right to do 5. Our emotions are not the determining factor of our decisions 6. Our awareness of needs is matched by our involvement to help 7. We are willing to change regardless of the effort needed 8. We study God’s Word on a consistent basis 9. We are willing to quickly admit and confess all our sins 10. We choose friends that protect and help our walk with Christ 11. We look past this life on earth onto our future accountability 12. We see the value of hearing what we need over what we want

Jesus knows we love Him by watching what we do with our lives, how we serve others is the first place He looks! Hebrews 6:10 God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have showed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 1. God acknowledges that any service done for His name cannot go unnoticed nor un-rewarded. 2. Love for God was the motivation for their faithful and ongoing work and labor to fellow believers
Legislation – rules and regulations Obligation – guilt driven Anticipation – not a bad reason, the Bible supports this as long as it is not the top reason Appreciation – again a good reason, it is a great motivation, but not the purest Adoration – our love for God compels us to praise Him and obey Him
Colossians 3:23-24 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; 24 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. The method is clear, serve whole-heartedly; give Christ your best! The motivation is clear, we are not really serving men, we are serving Christ! The reward is clear, knowing that Christ will honor those who serve others for his sake! Galatians 6:9-10 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
