Sticks and Stones Quilt A free pattern from Joanne’s Designs 64” x 78”
Fabric 13 different colored fabrics—1/2 yard of each 1 1/2 yards black sashing 1 1/2 yards green border 3/4 yard binding Backing 5 1/2 yards 1/4” seam allowances included
Cutting Instructions—per block at right Cut 48 squares each 1 1/2” x 1 1/2” Cut 8 Rectangles each 12 1/2” x 1 1/2” And: Cut 49 black sashing strips 12 1/2” x 2 1/2” Cut 30 cornerstones 2 1/2” x 2 1/2” Cut border 3 1/2” wide Cut double binding 2 1/4” wide
Quilt Assembly Sew small squares together into rows—12 in each row. 80 rows in total. Sew together with rectangles to make 20 blocks as above. On a flat surface arrange blocks, cornerstones and sashing . Sew together in rows. Sew rows together taking care to match seams. Complete quilt using your preferred method.
