Stitched Kids Summer Sewing Camps Decor Designer (Abby) June 15-18 / 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Every child loves to make their room their own with personal touches. Your child will be interior designer for week while they create a custom bunting (banner), bed pillow and embroidered initial wall art. Top Chef (Anne) June 29 - July 2 / 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Encourage your child to do some cooking while looking stylish! In this class, students will sew their own apron, oven mitt and trivet. They will leave class excited to go home and spend time in the kitchen! On the Go! (Lisa) July 13 - 16 / 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Summer is a time of travel, and now your child can be ready to go with handcrafted travel accessories. Projects in this class will include a road trip seatbelt pillow, tote bag for carrying the essentials, and a zipper pouch for stashing either cosmetics or coloring tools. Bon voyage! Tween/Teen Fashion Couture (Lucinda) July 27 - 30 / 10:00 am - 1:00 pm This class is intended for kids 11-15 as they will explore some more involved sewing in creating their fashion statements. Projects will include a skirt, shorts and infinity scarf if time allows. American Girl Doll Couture (Kat) August 3 - 6 / 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Sew a new wardrobe for your favorite 18” doll! Students will choose favorite fabrics and learn learn how to sew a pillowcase dress, skirt and sleeping bag/pillow for their doll. Feel free to bring your doll along - she can watch and learn along with you! Teen Quilt Class (Ages 13 - 17) (Michelle) August 3 - 6 / 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm Have you ever admired a handmade quilt but thought it was too tricky to make yourself? This class is for the beginner quilter who would love to learn how to construct a quilt and the different steps involved. Come express your personal design aesthetic while making a unique quilt for your room or family room couch!
Further Information *all projects are made using a sewing machine * open to children 9 - 15 (should have some basic sewing experience) *all camps last for 4 consecutive days * class size is a maximum of 4 students * campers are asked to please bring a sack lunch *after payment, a Camp Registration Form must be completed for each camper *every effort will be made to have campers complete all projects. However, since this will vary based on the child’s sewing efficiency and time management, we cannot guarantee that all the projects will be completed within camp time. * you may obtain the materials list and purchase your materials prior to camp *price: $180 + the cost of your class materials
